These days only, Indiana residents may fish without a state fishing license in Indiana waters. Free Fishing Days were created by the Indiana General Assembly in 1995 and are designated each year by the director of the Department of Natural Resources to promote angling as a recreational activity.
|Free gate fee for those fishing, just show us your fishing poles!|

Guided Park Hikes
Put on your walking shoes and explore a different St. Joseph County Park each Thursday in May! Learn about the history and features of each park and get a little exercise on a FREE guided hike. Hikes last 60-90 minutes and begin at 5:30pm. Register by the Monday before the tour.
Geocache St. Joseph County Parks
Join the hunt for hidden “geocaches” in St. Joseph County Parks. Bridge the gap between technology and nature as you go for a modern-day treasure hunt for hidden caches at Spicer Lake Nature Preserve, Bendix Woods, Ferrettie/Baugo Creek, and St. Patrick’s County Parks. Park entrance fee in effect on certain days. If you’re new to geocaching, visit geocaching.com to learn all about it or see Calendar of Events, April 14 and 21.
