  • Food & beverage glass:
  • Green, clear, brown, & blue glass only
  • Place lids in bin separately
  • Rinse bottles & jars
  • Aluminum foil, aluminum food trays & aluminum pie pans
  • Food, beverage AND empty aerosol cans
  • Labels do not need to be removed
  • Rinse cans & aluminum foil items to remove food contents
  • 1 to 5 gallon buckets used for food, pet & cleaning products - empty & rinse
  • All plastic bottles & containers coded  number #1, #2, #3, #5, & #7 (look at triangle code on back or bottom of the plastic bottle or container to see if recyclable).
  • Rinse & remove all food contents
  • Place lids in bin separately
  • Corrugated cardboard boxes broken down & placed inside bin
  • Fiberboard paper & food packaging boxes for non-perishable foods (cereal, pasta, & cracker boxes)
  • Newspapers, magazines, mixed office & school papers, junk mail, envelopes, file folders, glossy & slick advertisement inserts, soda or pop container cases

  • Pizza boxes (no food contamination on the box)
  • Shredded paper (has to be in CLEAR BAG for the workers to know what is in the bag before it gets processed)
